Martin Luther King - His Empowering Message

This is the "empowered version" of Martin Luther King's life, as seen through the eyes of the spiritual teacher, Esther Hicks, who does the Abraham teachings. According to Esther, MLK's life was much more than his sacrifice, and his message can be taught in a way that is "bigger and brighter" and more uplifting than is currently being told.

Why We Need to Allow Spirit

When I am allowing Spirit, I am not giving power to the god of this world. "Not by might, not buy power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord." I must continue to remember, "Not that, not that, not that," when confronted by pictures of the imagination that would deny the presence, power and perfection of Spirit. I do not believe in the laws of matter or the absence of Good, I believe in the Spirit, which transcends, transforms or removes all undesirable appearances..

Dealing With Fear

When you fear any person, place, thing or condition, you have given something other than God power over you, and that will effect your life in an undesirable way until you change your belief about the false cause of your Good.

"If you feel the shakiness of fear, you can say, 'There is nothing to fear, I am clinging to the loving God.' You can say, 'I will not doubt the Good. I believe in the loving God.' You can say, 'I do not believe in appearances. I believe in God here present in loving kindness.' ...you will find it most comforting in the world to say, 'I do not believe in the power of a whole army of evil conditions. I believe God is bringing us all through safely.'"

Our prayers can, and will, transform the world we live in if we but believe that they will. Pray and meditate on some key spiritual statements from your favorite source and ask God for the Truth about them. Here are a few that you may ponder, but those statements that stand out to you are the best to use:

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.

The Government is on God's shoulders.

God is my Life, God is my Mind, God is my Being, God is my Body.

There is infinite Power and Wisdom within me to completely transform my world.

Our attitude about life shapes the world we live in. This is stated in one way or another in virtually every religion on earth.

Meeting Life's Problems Spiritually

No matter what your problem is, God is bigger. No matter what your weakness is, your potential for strength is bigger. No matter what your fear is, love is bigger. And so it is. Affirm it. Know it. Receive it. Become it.

Whether we are aware of it or not (and usually we are not), "God is closer than our very breathing, nearer than our own hands and feet," and is only awaiting our invitation to come into our lives. We were not meant to live in lack, limitation or inharmony, but we must open out the door to allow our own imprisoned splendor to come into expression. The Doorway Is Waiting to Be Opened

A Limited Concept of God

A limited concept of God (Good) produces limited expressions of Good in our lives. That is why it is wise to let go of all of the old concepts of God, and let God define what Divinity is to you, instead of trying to force life to fit into your concepts of reality.

Update:
An understanding of a God of Love is many times more powerful than beliefs of a punishing God that is ready to smack us down for the slightest err. Even in our darkest hours God is still there, waiting for our invitation to enter in to our hearts, minds and lives.
